Title: Reducing Costs of Legal Research: Best Practices Onshore and Offshore
    Area of Discipline: Business Strategy
Description: Clients have become more focused on time spent on legal research by attorneys and the accompanying charges. Some of this is related to their budgetary pressures and some is related to the perceived inefficiencies in how this research is being conducted. In order to address this, firms should focus on better training for their new associates on legal research best practices, implementing best practices and guidelines, and looking at legal research alternatives such as offshoring. In addition, negotiating the best possible rates for legal research resources and using the most efficient legal research tools are important elements.
